Business Management Tips - 10 Ways to Motivate Your Employees 
The sense of being valued is one of the greatest motivating factors. When your employee feels that his work is valued, it is very likely the employee will value his employer. In addition to that, there are several tips that may help you make your employees more loyal to you.
Set a good example to your employees and gain their respect. You have to show your employees you have a serious attitude about your work. If you do other things during work hours, your employees will do the same.
You cannot be both a boss and a friend at the same time. It is understandable you want to be friendly to your employees, but this should not cost your unique role and position. A friend is important, but it is also important to have a boss who can help making difficult decisions.
Be clear about every employees' sphere of influence. Everybody should precisely know where his/her domain starts and where it ends. By doing this you prevent boundary overstepping, and your employees will be pride of their domain and responsibilities.
Show employees that you really care about them. Never belittle or criticize an employee in public, and never make threats that might give an employee a reason to question your commitment to him/her. It is a good idea to present their mistakes as opportunities for learning.
Your employees need to have something to be proud of. It doesn't matter whether you are running a multinational company or a gas station, you have to make your organization as best as it can be. This way, everyone can be proud of the things the company achieves.
Do positive things. You should try to interact with the larger community in some way, giving your employees a chance to do the same.
Remember to give recognition to your employees. Employees who are overpaid are not more loyal than those who earn the industry average, but money can tell your employees how much you value them. An employee will be more loyal if he has a fair wage, and raises when needed.
Train your employees. You should cultivate good performance within your company, giving training and other development opportunities.
Encourage your employees to work as a team: they should communicate their ideas and they should be allowed to influence company practices and policies. In return, you should share with them your vision about the company.
Give positive feedback. Everyone will appreciate this, and once it is clear that you are willing to do it, most employees will do their best to get it.
